UK financial reports for Odoo Community
Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Executive Summary and General Ledger in Odoo 19 Community — laid out like Odoo Enterprise, in UK format, with every figure opening into the journal items behind it.
The problem
Odoo Community has invoices, bills and bank reconciliation, but no financial statements. At the year end or before a board meeting there is nothing to hand to a director or an accountant: no Profit and Loss, no Balance Sheet, no Cash Flow Statement. Exporting journal items to a spreadsheet every time is slow and easy to get wrong.
What we built
A module that adds a Financial Statements menu to Invoicing > Reporting, built on the OCA reporting engine (mis_builder):
- Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet laid out like Odoo Enterprise: section heading, its accounts, then the total; current and previous fiscal year side by side, and a check line on the Balance Sheet that must be zero.
- Cash Flow Statement (direct method): receipts from customers, payments to suppliers, investing and financing sections, opening and closing cash.
- Executive Summary: cash in and out, profitability, net assets, margins, return on assets, debtor and creditor days, current ratio.
- General Ledger: one row per account with the opening balance, then every journal item with a running balance; filter by period, accounts and partners.
- Budget vs Actual on the Profit and Loss, the Trial Balance, and aged receivables and payables in the same menu.
- Customer deposits and the director’s loan account month by month for the last 12 months, plus ledgers by customer.
Every figure opens into the accounts and journal items behind it, and every report exports to PDF and Excel. Columns follow your company’s fiscal year automatically, whatever month it ends.

How we checked it
We built the module for our own company and ran it on two full fiscal years of our real books. The Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and General Ledger matched Odoo Online (Enterprise) to the penny. The module has 15 automated tests.
